Lutterworth Ladies Hockey Club’s origins go back to 1922 when Lutterworth Grammar School Old Girls Hockey Club was founded. Of course, the game was played on grass and transport to matches was by train or bus. Arrangements for the game were sent out by post. How times have changed but The Club has maintained its connection with Lutterworth College, as its synthetic pitch is our venue for home matches.
Lutterworth is a small friendly club that offers hockey to girls and women from the age of 8 onwards. We have 2 senior teams playing in the local Leicestershire League as well as a thriving junior section which plays the 7-a-side format in occasional matches and tournaments for Under 10s, U12s and U14s. In addition, we are running Back-to-Hockey sessions for any adult who wants to play hockey without the commitment of joining a club and playing regular league games.
