Ross Rowing Club

Contact Information:

Ross Rowing Club had it's beginnings in 1870 when a group of like minded souls decided to form a rowing club. Meetings were held in the local pub, the Hope and Anchor, and it wasn't until 1908 that we could boast a boathouse. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since those days and we are currently enjoying an upsurge in fortunes in all disciplines, age and gender.
The club membership hovers around 200 and has Ladies and Mens Senior Squads as well as a very active Junior Academy. To accomodate all tastes, the Senior Squads are split into Competitive and Non-Competitive (social rowing) sections. The club also offers a 'Discover Rowing' programme for those new to the sport.
Facilities at the club include a large boathouse with over 50 fine rowing boats from eights to single sculls; washing and changing facilites; a gym equiped with Ergos and weights; kitchen and club bar/lounge.
