Still gasping for breath after competing in the 2009 Tatton Hall Triathlon, a small group of friends decided it would be great to put a bit of organisation around their shared passion for the sport.

 

And so the Knutsford Tri Club was born.

 

Based at Knutsford Leisure Centre, the Club is now home to well over 100 enthusiastic members drawn from around the South Manchester, Northwich and Macclesfield areas. We’re also now fully affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation, the Cycling Time Trials Association and England Athletics

 

Anyone over 18 is welcomed with open arms regardless of sex, age or ability. For us, it’s all about being part of a team and creating the opportunity for members to train, race and socialise together.

 

You could say that the ethos of the Club is to be ‘formally informal’. While there is a management and organisational structure we firmly believe that in both sporting and social terms the Club should be driven by its membership.
