Hampton Canoe Club

Contact Information:

Hampton Canoe Club is a friendly and sociable canoe club with a bias towards paddling at a leisurely pace on placid waters.
Some members paddle on waters near and not-so-near to Hampton. Boats on roof-racks, they head off most Saturdays for the Wey Navigation, Basingstoke Canal, Grand Union Canal or River Thames. Occasionally trips are on the tidal Thames around Isleworth, Putney and Vauxhall. Other members paddle from the clubhouse, often on Saturday mornings, or Wednesday evenings (summer time only) heading upstream to Sunbury, Walton Bridge and round Desborough Island; or downstream to Thames Ditton or Teddington.
Members can use the club’s boats as many times as they want and can take part in all the club’s sporting and social activities and receive the quarterly newsletter. We also arrange an annual holiday – in recent years we have paddled on some inland Scottish lochs; the rivers Allier and Loire in France; the Mosel in Germany; and the Semois in Belgium.
