Our Clubs Mission is:
To strive for excellence in swimming, from learning to swim to the Olympic stage.
To provide the environment that allows every swimmer the opportunity to achieve their potential.
Runnymede Swimming Club has three main squads of swimmers, plus a Competition, Masters section and our SwimAbility Squad. The first squad young swimmers go into is our Development Squad followed by Junior and Senior Squads. Our main Competition Squads are extensions of their respective Junior and Senior Squads for swimmers with at least one County qualifying time (excluding 50m Events) in their respective age groups who wish to train and compete in various Open galas. Positions are allocated by the Club's Coaching Team and are also based on ability, age and dedication to the sport. Positions within each squad are regularly assessed and altered.
The Masters sessions are for swimmers over 18-years old of all abilities, from lanes for the social swimmer, up to the full competitive swimmer, completing a structured training program. There are 2 evening sessions dedicated to Masters swimming, but this does not stop the more competitive older swimmer from training with the full squads if they wish to.
