Contact Information:

The Bowmen of Bruntwood is Stockport's only Archery Club and is based in Bruntwood Park, Cheadle. The club was originally known as Cheadle Bowmen. The present club was founded in 1952 and is affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society, The Northern Counties Archery Society and the Cheshire Archery Association.
The Clubs shooting facilities consist of an outdoor 100 yard range and an indoor 20 yard range for use in winter and in bad weather. The Club has exclusive use of both facilities at all times.
There are currently around 100 members and include both men, women and a thriving junior membership aged 10-17 years old. disciplines are catered for, i.e. recurve, compound and traditional longbows.
The Bowmen of Bruntwood is a club with excellent shooting facilities and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The Club has archers of all abilities from those who compete internationally for Great Britain to those who for their county or purely for relaxation and enjoyment. There is an opportunity to enter local or national tournaments or just to practice on our own range.
Archery is a family sport where adults, juniors and the disabled can all compete on equal terms. The Club runs competitions with a handicap system so all levels of archers compete equally on a regular basis throughout the year. We have links with 'Les Archers Biterrois' a French club from Beziers, Stockport's twin town.
